Hi all! My name is Shanita Gabriela Hogan, but you can just call me Shay. I was born in California, and have bounced around between California, Virginia, and England for my entire life. I am half European and half American and very proud of both!
        I developed an interest in hair, beauty and photography at the age of 6 when I accidentally braided a My Little Pony's tail! I loved anything to do with hair and makeup, and would watch all the Miss World competitions and play with my older sisters hair (I love you Xylina! and your hair! haha) I started teaching myself different hairstyles and styling peoples' hair as I got older. When I graduated from High School at the age of 17, I went straight into beauty school to pursue my dreams.
It has been a rollercoaster ride, and I have had a lot of moments of doubt, unrest, happiness, sadness, uncertainty, and achievements, but at the end of the day, my decision and my dreams have not faultered since that day when I was 6 years old.
I have been lucky and obtained the opportunity to help on the movie set of Elizabeth: The Golden age back in 2006, help with fashion editorials, London Fashion week, makeup consultancy, and much much more!
